To Whom It May Concern

In order to present Mr. Dusan Gajic as well as possible, I am going to write few words about our company. Ei Televizija was established in 1948. It is Yugoslav leading company for development and producing TV sets, TV studio monitors, PC monitors, touch terminals and other special equipment in branch of TV industry. More than 4.700.000 TV sets have been produced in our production halls. About 1.500.000 of our TV sets were exported on the markets of Europe, Asia and North America.

Mr. Dusan Gajic has our employee since April 1994. I immediately noticed him in a group of young engineers who had been recently employed. He impressed me as a person who had an innate sense for understanding and resolving practical problems, especially in computer communication with collecting data devices, developing software for processing and representing data and technical process computerizing. He quickly became known in our company as a computer expert.

He has worked professionally and diligently on a number of joint projects that included computer equipment. I am going to mention only some of them:

During first half of 1997, he was included in a group for developing Time and Attendance system. After a short period he became a leading develop engineer in this group. He has developed software in IRL (Intermec Reader Language) for Intermec data collection devices. He has developed RS-232 and RS-485 network of Intermec peripherals and Server PC. He has also developed entire Visual Basic software for collecting, processing and representing data from these devices. Dusan has entirely built client-server architecture and complex calculation algorithms into this project, with respect to fast, intuitive and attractive user's interface. Now, this system collects entries for more than 800 employees by ID bar-code cards on three data entry points (factory gates). Great challenge for engineer who is worth of his own profession. This system provides many useful statistical reports and graphics as well as interface to payroll and human resource information services. Dusan has excelled in this project. He proofed himself as person who has software and programming knowledge and technical skills greater than many of the employees with longer work experience. He has demonstrated ability to tactfully and professionally resolve problems with development team members. This is especially related to export data to different platform-based systems with payroll software.

In period from late 1994 through 1996, he worked in a team for automation of technical and manufacturing processes. His part has been to develop software and to test system for active TV circuit board tester. On this project, he has been required to work independently, because of our limited experience in that area. I was very pleased with Dusan's ability to study quickly the huge documentation. He has developed robust code in TestTeam Philips/Fluke software, Microsoft C and Lab Windows. In addition, he has exhibited strong engineering skills, because he has established communication between computer and very complex groups of programmable Philips/Fluke measure instruments by using IEEE 488.2 bus interface. He has developed MDB database format interface to database for processing and representing this data, on his own initiative. He worked very closely with the team and showed extraordinary ability to negotiate resolutions with the development team members.

He has also performed system administration functions for Windows NT 4.0 system in our administrative department. In latest period, he has developed software for this department using Visual Basic and MS Access.

As sincere, dedicated, and ambitious worker, he is a tactful, team player that I sincerely regret to lose. I highly recommend Mr. Dusan Gajic for any software-engineering job.

Sincerely,
Srba Tosic,
Director
